'UNCORKED' in Dade City
The Dade City Garden Club invites you on Sunday, April 2nd, 2017, to enjoy live music and 6 wine tasting stations nestled in our lush gardens at 13630 5th Street, Dade City from 3pm until 6pm. The stations will be manned by local celebrity pourers and our wine consultant, Time for Wine. Appetizers will be provided at each station. There will be a culinary demonstration (and free samples) inside our historic clubhouse, demonstrated by chef J.R. Webb and his amazing students. Dennis Alfonso and his combo will provide the music again. This important fundraiser, “UNCORKED’ in Dade City, will benefit the Dade City Garden Club (a 501c3 non-profit). Tickets $30 each. Planning is underway for a new youth outreach program in cooperation with the Hugh Embry Library and the Co-Operative Extension office. Programs for children ages 6 through 12 will be presented at the library by garden club members and assisted by library and extension employees. The program, called Nature Detectives, studies a different pollinator each summer session, through interactive activities. Each child will receive a scholastic book, a notebook, study information and 2 plants.This programs was designed by the garden club of St Augustine and has operated very successfully for 8 years. More information will follow as well as opportunities for members interested in participating.
