Our Mission
- Further the education of the members and the public in the fields of gardening, horticulture, landscape design, floral design, and environmental awareness through the conservation of natural resources.
- Encourage civic and roadside beautification through available agencies.
- Plant trees, wildflowers, and shrubs to protect birds and butterflies.
- Work toward creating and maintaining a Garden Center and gardens that will be a special asset to Dade City and teach the youth to love gardening and to respect and protect the environment.
Our Club
The Dade City Garden Club is a non-profit organization made up of members of the community who are interested in gardening and taking care of our environment. We love to learn and want to share our passion with others. Membership to the Dade City Garden Club is open to all regardless of gender, age, race, ethnicity, or religious affiliation.
The Dade City Garden Club is actively involved in the community. Our members care about and work to preserve natural resources, celebrate Arbor Day and National Garden Week with special events, facilitate the Dade City Monarch Project along with its signature event, the annual Dade City Monarch Butterfly Festival, and organize fund-raising projects to restore and preserve the historic clubhouse and grounds.
The club rents the building and grounds for weddings and other large group meetings, with all proceeds going to maintenance of the building and grounds.
If you are interested in reading more about our history and what the impact to the community has been over the past 75 years, you can read it all here.
We are always looking for new members who are interested in personal enrichment, preserving our heritage, and investing in the love of gardening.
